I'm a licensed physician and Independent candidate for the office of California Governor. I seek this office in the belief that our government, as envisioned by its founders, was to be "By the People and For the People", NOT for special interests. I am a Californian who is concerned about California’s future left in the hands of career politicians. Through my candidacy, I hope to invigorate and re-enfranchise an apathetic electorate and return California to its citizens.

If elected, I would recruit the best people available, covering a broad spectrum of the electorate, including respected business people, to join me in addressing California’s many problems and ensuring a return to California’s Glory Days. Establishing a governmental partnership, with the citizens of California and the many talented business professionals in California, is critical in developing a common sense, common interest approach to problem solutions. Utilizing the skills of business leaders, not generous campaign contributions, would best serve the interests of our State.

Affording access to quality Healthcare for all Californians, optimizing Educational Opportunities for our youth, creating a dynamic business environment, and therefore job creation, and development of effective Mass Transit Systems may sound like lofty goals — THEY AREN’T! We must promptly and effectively resolve our critical budget deficit to make these goals a reality for all Californians.

There are no simple or quick fix solutions to the complex problems that we, together, face. Any candidate suggesting otherwise should not aspire to the office of Governor. I urge you to read my platform and vote for me, Ronald J. Friedman, M.D., on October 7^th. California’s future can, and will be, brighter.

Dr. Friedman has chosen to run for the Governor's Office in hopes that his candidacy will encourage other citizens to participate in the electoral process, seek political office, and realize that our government should truly be By the People and For the People. The utilization of outside of government expertise to apply sound business and other principles, to the running of California Government, is essential to balancing the budget and affording Californians the highest quality of life, today and in the future.
